4-Day Tour

Day 1: Puerto Maldonado - Tambopata

On the first day, we will pick you up from the airport or bus station in Puerto Maldonado and provide an itinerary overview. We will travel by all-terrain vehicle for two hours into the Amazon Rainforest.

After reaching the Tambopata River, we'll board a boat to the lodge. After settling in, we'll enjoy lunch and an afternoon jungle walk to search for animals. The rest of the day is free.

Day 2: Macaw Clay Lick - Monkey Island

We will depart early for El Chuncho, the world's largest macaw clay lick, on a 1.5-hour boat trip. Look out for capybaras, jaguars, and tapirs.

We will visit a botanical garden before proceeding to our next hotel at Sandoval Lake. In the afternoon, we visit Monkey Island to see monkey species.

At night, we will search for caimans and return for dinner.

Day 3: Sandoval Lake

We will hike 1.86 mi (3 km) through the jungle to Sandoval Lake and enjoy a 2-hour boat ride. Expect to see giant otters or alligators. After lunch, we will embark on a night hike.

Day 4: Canopy Walk

We'll start with a walk on the Canopy Walk bridges. Following breakfast, we will return to Puerto Maldonado to conclude the tour by midday.

5-Day Tour

The first three days mirror the 4-day tour. On Day 4, we will hike around Lake Sandoval before exploring its waters in a canoe to spot piranhas. We will have a night walk.

On Day 5, we will return to Puerto Maldonado.
