4-day tour

Day 1: Puerto Maldonado - Tambopata

On the first day, pickup will be arranged from the airport or bus station in Puerto Maldonado to the starting point of the tour. After an introduction, we will travel for two hours in an all-terrain vehicle to the Amazon Rainforest. Next, we will reach the Tambopata River to board a boat to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk in the jungle to observe local wildlife.

Day 2: Macaw Clay Lick

We will depart early for El Chuncho, the largest macaw clay lick worldwide, after a 1.5-hour boat trip. Visitors can see numerous wildlife, including capybaras, jaguars, and tapirs. Post-visit to the clay lick, we will explore a botanic garden before returning for lunch. In the afternoon, kayaking opportunities in the River Tambopata will be available.

Day 3: Monkey Island

After a morning walk to observe ancient trees, a visit to Monkey Island will follow, where guests can see various monkey species. That evening, a search for caimans will occur before dinner.

Day 4: Canopy Walk

On the final day, after breakfast, we will explore the hanging bridges of the Canopy Walk. The tour concludes with a return to Puerto Maldonado, departing at 9:30 am.

5-day tour

The 5-day tour follows the same itinerary for the first three days. On the fourth day, instead of returning to Puerto Maldonado, there will be a hike around Lake Sandoval and canoeing to spot piranhas, followed by a night walk. Day 5 includes the Canopy Walk before returning.
