Lake Sandoval Amazon Trek
We will pick you up from your hotel and head to the Tambopata National Reserve, located just a 10-minute drive away.
Once there, we will cross the gateway to the southern Amazon rainforest. The hike covers about 3 km (1.8 mi) on foot. During the trek, we may see monkeys and snakes up close.
We will navigate through Amazonian flora, encountering macaws and falcons. The trail leads to Lake Sandoval, a notable spot in the Tambopata National Reserve.
We will board a canoe to explore Lake Sandoval, observing unique species such as river otters and black caimans. After the canoe trip, we will enjoy a lunch of chicken, rice, and mushrooms at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we will return to Puerto Maldonado, where we will accompany you to your hotel 8 hours later, concluding the trek through the jungle and Lake Sandoval.
