Puerto Maldonado 3 Day Tour
Day 1: Walk and boat ride
Upon arrival at the airport or bus station in Puerto Maldonado, your guide will take you to your accommodation in Tambopata National Park. After lunch, there will be a walk along the trails where you can see various animals. At sunset, enjoy a boat ride followed by dinner and rest.
Day 2: Sandoval Lake
Breakfast is served until 9:30 am before trekking towards Sandoval Lake. The guided walk covers 3 kilometers through the Tambopata jungle, observing its wildlife. After lunch, there will be a short night walk, followed by dinner.
Day 3: Parrot and Macaw Clay Lick
Start early with breakfast at 4:15 am before heading to the parrot and macaw clay lick. Observe numerous parrots feeding at dawn. The day includes fishing at Lake Anaconda, returning to the cabins afterward, and potentially spotting a sloth bear before concluding with a transfer back to the airport or bus station.
Tambopata Hanging Bridges
A 2-hour tour of the hanging bridges in the Amazon reserve is available for the first or last day, depending on your travel schedule in Puerto Maldonado.
Accommodation
Accommodation is in private cabins near the Madre de Dios River, with full board. Meals include a starter, main course, dessert, and non-alcoholic drinks, while breakfast offers juice, coffee, eggs, fried bananas, and more.
