Venture into the jungle and explore incredible scenery on our 4-day tour of Tambopata. You'll also have the unique experience of attending a traditional ayahuasca ceremony.

Tambopata 4 Day Tour & Ayahuasca Ceremony

Day 1

Welcome to Puerto Maldonado! After airport pickup, we will travel to the river port and board a canoe to our accommodation in the Tambopata National Reserve.

On the first night, you will have a light broth, vegetable soup or water, to prepare your stomach for the ayahuasca ceremony at around 8 pm.

During the ritual, a shaman will conduct the ceremony and explain concepts of Andean cosmology and the mysteries of the ayahuasca brew made from local medicinal plants.

Day 2

The day will start with a gentle walk through the jungle, learning about medicinal plants used by local Indigenous communities.

In the afternoon, we'll visit a viewpoint to take in the jungle landscape and look for birds such as eagles and macaws. A nighttime stroll will follow to observe nocturnal insects and animals.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, we will head to Cocococha Lagoon, enjoying a 3.5-mile (5.5-kilometer) walk to observe its flora and fauna, including the Tambopata Giant Otters and hoatzins.

After lunch at the lodge, we will visit Chica Lagoon in the afternoon for sunset views, ideal for photography.

Day 4

After breakfast, we will sail to the Puerto Maldonado dock for your transfer to the airport in time for your flight.

Accommodation

This tour includes 3 nights' accommodation at a lodge in Tambopata, with full board provided (except on the day of the ayahuasca ceremony).

The price is per person in a double room. Triples and other types of rooms are available upon request.
