4-Day Journey in Tambopata & Ayahuasca Ceremony

Day 1

Your journey begins upon your arrival at Puerto Maldonado. After a warm welcome and transfer from the airport, we will proceed to the river port, where we will embark on a canoe ride to our lodge situated within the Tambopata National Reserve.

On the first night, a light broth, vegetable soup or water will be provided to prepare your body for the ayahuasca ceremony scheduled for around 8 pm.

During the ceremony, a skilled shaman will guide us through the ritual, sharing insights surrounding Andean cosmology and the essence of this ancient beverage. Participants will also sample the renowned ayahuasca brew, crafted from local medicinal flora.

Day 2

The second day commences with a gentle jungle stroll, where we'll explore various medicinal plants and their significance as utilized by local Indigenous communities.

In the afternoon, we will ascend to an observation point to appreciate the vastness of the jungle. Keep your eyes open for bird sightings, including eagles and macaws. After sunset, we will venture on a night walk, searching for nocturnal insects and wildlife.

Day 3

Day three kicks off with an early breakfast before we travel to the Cocococha Lagoon. Here, we will enjoy a 3.5-mile (5.5-kilometre) trek, keeping an eye out for the rare Tambopata Giant Otters and observing the unique hoatzins.

After lunch at the lodge, we’ll journey to the Chica Lagoon in the afternoon to appreciate the scenic beauty leading up to sunset. Take advantage of the stunning golden hour and sunset for some remarkable photographs before returning to the lodge.

Day 4

On the final day, we will enjoy breakfast before setting sail back to the Puerto Maldonado dock. From here, we will arrange your transportation to the airport, ensuring you arrive with ample time for your departure.

Accommodation

This package includes 3 nights of lodging at a lodge in Tambopata, featuring full board amenities. All meals—breakfasts, lunches, and dinners—are included, with the exception of the day of the ayahuasca ceremony when solid food will be restricted.
