Tambopata Tour Package: 7 Days

Day 1

After picking you up from the Puerto Maldonado airport, we'll proceed to the river port for a canoe ride along the Tambopata and Madre de Dios rivers. Enjoy a picnic while discovering local fauna in the Tambopata Nature Reserve. The day concludes at our accommodation in Tambopata for a 6-night stay, followed by an evening walk to spot nocturnal animals.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, we will sail to the Tambopata clay lick to observe exotic Amazonian birds, especially parrots and macaws. Post-lunch, a short 20-minute walk to Laguna Chica will reveal various toucans. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will explore the Tambopata trail forests on a 6-kilometre trek, where we will see local birds like the semi-collared Bolio. A picnic will be enjoyed in nature before returning to the hotel at 4 pm for the rest of the day free.

Day 4

After breakfast, we will climb the highest birding tower in the Amazon at 46 metres for views of the Tambopata Reserve. Post-lunch, we will explore Laguna Chica to see unique birds, followed by dinner at the lodge.

Day 5

Following an early breakfast, we will walk 5 kilometres to Lake Cocococha at dawn to see various low-flying birds. After a picnic, we return by 4 pm, with an optional night canoe trip to search for Tambopata alligators.

Day 6

This day will be dedicated to exploring other trail areas within Tambopata.

Day 7

After breakfast, we will take you to the Puerto Maldonado airport in time for your flight.

This tour includes 6 nights accommodation at the Explorer's Inn Tambopata Ecolodge, with full board catering (all meals included).
