Tangier to Marrakech 7-Day Trip + Merzouga Desert Visit

Embark on a 7-day trip from Tangier to Marrakech, visiting Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Meknes, Fez, and the dunes in the desert of Merzouga.

Tour Details

Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen

Pick up from Tangier Airport or your hotel and transfer to Chefchaouen. Free time to explore the city or join a guided tour. Overnight in a hotel in Chefchaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fez

Depart Chefchaouen after breakfast. Visit Volubilis for 1 hour and 30 minutes to admire the archaeological ruins. Continue to Meknes for 2 hours of free time to see key sites. Travel to Fez for overnight stay in a riad.

Day 3: Fez

Guided tour of Fez, including the Royal Palace, Jewish Quarter, and Medina. Afternoon free to explore and enjoy local cuisine. Overnight in your accommodation.

Day 4: Fez - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert

Leave Fez towards Ifrane and visit the cedar forests of the Atlas Mountains. Free time in Midelt before continuing to Ziz Valley. Arrive at Merzouga Desert for a camel ride to the desert camp and enjoy traditional Berber music and dinner.

Day 5: Merzouga Desert

Witness sunrise in the Sahara. Day for exploring the desert by camel, vehicle, or foot, and visit a nomadic village. Optional lunch available. Return to camp for another night under the stars.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert - Todgha Gorge - Dades Valley

Travel to Todgha Gorge, explore the area, and continue to Dades Valley for landscape views. Overnight in Dades Valley accommodation.

Day 7: Dades Valley - Marrakech

Depart for Ouarzazate and visit film studios, with optional guided tour of Aït Benhaddou. Travel through Tizi n'Tichka pass and arrive in Marrakech for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.

Schedules & Flights

For outbound flights to Tangier, pickup is at 10 am; arrival flights must be before 8 am. Booking a hotel for the night before is recommended. Arrival in Marrakech on the last day is around 12 pm; do not book a departing flight from Marrakech Airport before 3 pm.
