Come and join us as we embark on a free tour of Taormina, the enchanting pearl of the Ionian Sea. Together, we'll explore the city's iconic landmarks, including the Cathedral and the Greek theater, while uncovering fascinating details and stories about these magnificent monuments!

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Porta Messina to start this free tour of Taormina. Throughout this guided tour, we'll delve into the city's history and explore its most prominent monuments.

As we navigate Taormina, we'll appreciate a diverse range of architectural styles that reflect various civilizations such as the Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans, and Angevins, each contributing to the city's history.

Our itinerary includes the exterior of the Odeon Theater, commissioned in the 2nd century, the ancient residences of the Corvaja Palace, the Church of Santa Catalina, and IX April Square.

We'll also visit the Taormina Cathedral and the significant Greek theater, which has brought fame to this town since its construction in the 3rd century B.C.

After about an hour and a half of sightseeing, we'll conclude our tour near Porta Catania.
