Come and join us as we embark on a free tour of Taormina, the enchanting pearl of the Ionian Sea. Together, we'll explore the city's iconic landmarks, including the Cathedral and the Greek theater, while uncovering fascinating details and stories about these magnificent monuments!

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Porta Messina to kick off this free tour of Taormina. Throughout this guided tour, we'll delve into the city's history and explore its prominent monuments.

As we navigate Taormina, we'll appreciate a diverse range of architectural styles from various civilizations, including the Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans, and Angevins, all contributing to the rich tapestry of this Sicilian coastal town.

Our itinerary includes the external view of the Odeon Theater, commissioned by Caesar Augustus Ottaviano in the 2nd century, ancient residences like the Corvaja Palace, the Church of Santa Catalina, and a stroll through IX April Square.

We will also visit the renowned Taormina Cathedral and its notable Greek theater, significant since its construction in the 3rd century B.C. After around an hour and a half of sightseeing, we'll conclude our tour near Porta Catania.

Our free tour does not accept reservations for more than 6 people. Larger groups must book a private tour of Taormina.
