Syracuse and Ortigia Day Trip

At the indicated time, we will meet at the Taormina bus station and board a vehicle that will take us to Syracuse. The journey will take approximately an hour and a half.

The first visit will be to the Neapolis Archaeological Park, where we will explore the remains of Greek civilisation. Here, you will discover a Greek theatre and a Roman amphitheatre, as well as ruins of altars, temples, and ancient stone quarries known as latomias.

We will then return to the vehicle and head to Ortigia, the old town of Syracuse, recognized for its rich architectural and historical heritage, making it a World Heritage Site.

During your visit to Ortigia, you will see the ruins of the Temple of Apollo from the 6th century BC, the Cathedral, and the Font of Arethusa. You will have an hour and a half of free time to explore and enjoy local cuisine.
