Syracuse and Ortigia Day Trip
At the indicated time, we will meet at the Taormina bus station and board a vehicle to Syracuse, with a travel time of about an hour and a half.
The first stop will be the Neapolis Archaeological Park, where we will explore the remnants of Greek civilization. Highlights include the Greek theatre, a Roman amphitheatre, and ancient stone quarries known as latomias.
Next, we'll head to Ortigia, the old town of Syracuse, recognized as a World Heritage Site due to its architectural and historical significance.
In Ortigia, you will see the ruins of the Temple of Apollo from the 6th century BC, the Cathedral, and the Font of Arethusa. You will have an hour and a half of free time to explore and enjoy local cuisine.
The day trip concludes after 10 hours by returning you to the starting point.
