Syracuse and Ortigia Day Trip
At the designated time, we will meet at the Taormina bus station and board a vehicle to Syracuse, with a journey time of about an hour and a half.
The first stop will be the Neapolis Archaeological Park, where we will explore the remains of Greek civilization. Highlights include a Greek theatre, a Roman amphitheatre, and ruins of temples and latomias, ancient quarries.
Next, we will head to Ortigia, the old town of Syracuse, recognized as a World Heritage Site for its historical significance.
During our visit to Ortigia, you will see the Temple of Apollo, dating from the 6th century BC, the Cathedral, the Font of Arethusa, and other sites. You will have an hour and a half of free time to enjoy local cuisine.
The day trip concludes after 10 hours, with a return to the starting point.
