Day Trip to the Tingana Ecological Reserve + Canoe Ride

On this day trip to the Tingana Ecological Reserve, you'll discover the wonders of ecotourism in the San Martín region and go on a canoe ride through a unique wetland ecosystem.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Tarapoto for our journey to Moyobamba. After a 3-hour drive, we'll arrive at the port and board a motorised canoe to the Tingana Ecological Reserve entrance.

Upon arrival at Tingana, we'll have a traditional regional breakfast amidst lush vegetation. Afterward, we begin a motorised canoe ride through the flooded forest of the Avisado River, observing wildlife among palm and banyan trees, which serve as habitats for local species.

Following 3 hours of exploration, we'll enjoy a typical regional lunch made with local ingredients. After lunch, you'll have 2.5 hours of free time to explore the reserve and spot various amphibians in the area.

Finally, we'll return to Tarapoto, concluding the tour with goodbyes at your hotel after a total of 15 hours.
