At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your accommodation and begin an intriguing tour of Tarapoto, also known as the "City of Palms".

Our first stop is the Urku center, a 15-minute minibus ride away. Peru faces challenges with illegal animal trade capturing up to 20 animals every minute. At Urku, rescued wildlife is cared for and prepared for release back into the wild. You'll have the chance to see parakeets, macaws, monkeys, and other animals up close.

Next, we'll visit a chocolate factory and a tobacco factory in Tarapoto. During the hour-long visit, you'll learn about how the best cocoa is cultivated and discover the traditional method of cigar production in Peru.

The tour concludes after a total of four hours back at the starting point in Tarapoto.
