Wildlife Refuge + Chocolate Factory Tour
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your accommodation and embark on an intriguing tour of Tarapoto, also known as the "City of Palms".
Our first stop is the Urku center, a 15-minute minibus ride away. Here, rescued wildlife is cared for and prepared for release back into the wild. You'll see parakeets, macaws, monkeys, and other animals up close.
Next, we'll visit a chocolate factory and a tobacco factory in Tarapoto. During the hour-long visit, you'll learn about cocoa cultivation and the traditional method of cigar production in Peru.
The tour concludes after a total of four hours back at the starting point in Tarapoto.
