Adventurers of all ages, get ready: explore the tropical wilderness of the Nicoya Gulf on a crocodile safari. You'll take a leisurely boat ride on the Tárcoles River while admiring the lush scenery around you.

Tárcoles River Crocodile Safari

At the scheduled time, we'll meet next to the Tárcoles River and set off on a safari to see crocodiles in their natural habitat. This area is home to one of the world's largest populations of these semiaquatic reptiles.

Once we've introduced ourselves, we'll board a boat to start our safari downstream. Get ready to see American crocodiles that are up to 16 feet (5 meters) long!

During our safari, we'll venture deep into the jungle and learn how crocodiles and other wild animals thrive around the Tárcoles River. This area is also home to numerous bird species and features an incredible mangrove ecosystem.

As we cruise through the Guacalillo Estuary, you'll admire four different species of trees. Our safari will also allow us to observe more than 50 types of birds, iguanas, and Jesus Christ lizards.

At the end of your jungle crocodile safari, you'll be taken back to the meeting point 2 hours after pick-up.
