Adventurers of all ages, get ready: explore the tropical wilderness of the Nicoya Gulf on a crocodile safari. You'll take a leisurely boat ride on the Tárcoles River while admiring the lush scenery around you.

Tárcoles River Crocodile Safari

At the scheduled time, we'll meet up next to the Tárcoles River and set off on a safari to see crocodiles in their natural habitat. This part of Tárcoles is home to one of the world's largest populations of these semiaquatic reptiles.

After introductions, we'll board a boat to begin our safari downstream. Expect to see American crocodiles that can reach lengths of up to 16 feet (5 meters).

During our safari, we'll venture deep into the jungle to explore how crocodiles and other wildlife thrive around the Tárcoles River. This area supports numerous bird species and features a diverse mangrove ecosystem.

While cruising through the Guacalillo Estuary, you'll observe four different species of trees. Our safari will also bring us close to over 50 types of birds, iguanas, and Jesus Christ lizards.

At the end of your jungle crocodile safari, you'll be returned to the meeting point 2 hours after pick up.
