Tangier Day Trip from Tarifa

On this excursion to Tangier, we'll take a ferry from Tarifa, Spain to discover one of the most fascinating cities in the north of Morocco. We'll be in Europe and Africa in one day!

Description

At the appointed time we'll meet at the port of Tarifa and set sail on a ferry to the port of Tangier in 50 minutes. Upon arrival, we will start the guided tour of the modern city.

Firstly, we'll visit Cape Espartel, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Then, we head to the Grottoes of Hercules, known for their ties to ancient Greek mythology. Here, you'll have some free time for photos or a short camel ride. Following this, we will explore the Kasbah, the highest part of the Medina of Tangier, overlooking the Sultan's Palace and the Strait of Gibraltar.

Next, we'll stroll through the Medina, passing the Mendoubia gardens, vegetable market, and the Tangier Synagogue, where we'll discuss its architectural significance and the history of the Jewish community in Tangier.

In the vicinity of the synagogue, we'll enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch featuring harira soup, beef kebabs, couscous, green tea, and pastries, accompanied by live traditional music.

After lunch, you'll have about 40 minutes for shopping. We will meet afterward for the return journey. The tour concludes after a total of 9 hours of activities.
