Tangier Day Trip from Tarifa

On this day trip to Tangier, we'll take a ferry from Tarifa, Spain to explore a fascinating city in the north of Morocco. This experience combines both Europe and Africa in one day.

Day Trip Details

We will meet an hour before the scheduled time at the Information Office in the port of Tarifa to board a ferry to the port of Tangier, taking approximately 50 minutes. Upon arrival, the guided tour of the modern city will commence.

Our first visit will be to Cape Espartel, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Next, we will explore the Caves of Hercules, known in Greek mythology as a resting place for Hercules.

You will have free time to take souvenir photos or opt for a short camel ride.

We will then proceed to the Kasbah, the highest point in the Medina of Tangier, to view the Sultan's Palace and the scenic vistas of the Strait of Gibraltar.

Next, we will walk through the Medina, passing the Mendoubia gardens, the vegetable market, and the Tangier Synagogue. We will appreciate its unique architectural blend and learn about the history of the Jewish community in the area.

Nearby, we will enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch featuring harira soup, beef kebabs, couscous, green tea, and pastries with live traditional music.

After lunch, you will have about 40 minutes for shopping. We will then reconvene for the return journey, concluding a total of 9 hours for the adventure.
