On this 6-day tour through the Tariquía National Reserve, we will hike and explore the natural environment and legends of Bolivia.

6-day Bolivia Hiking Tour

Day 1

Pick-up will be at your hotel in Tarija at 6 am. We will drive for two hours to Abra de la Hondura and begin our hike, crossing rivers and canyons to reach the Cerro de la Escalera viewpoint, with views of the town of Patanchada. We will camp for the night at the community of San José.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will hike towards the viewpoint of Abra Potrerillo for lunch. You can spend the afternoon in the town of Abra Potrerillo with options for activities like horseback riding.

Day 3

We will hike to the town of Motoví, known for the Piedra Ombliguda. The day will focus on a tour of Motoví and exploring its myths and legends.

Day 4

After breakfast, we will visit the community of La Cueva, historically inhabited by the Guarani people. The day involves touring the area, followed by camping again at night.

Day 5

We will head to Cambarí, a natural area within the Tariquía National Reserve, to observe local wildlife like taruca, jukumari bear, and military parrot.

Day 6

After breakfast, we will return to Tarija, stopping in Sidras for lunch, and arrive at your hotel in the mid-afternoon.

Accommodation

The tour includes four nights of lodging in tents and one night at the Valle del Medio ecotourism center.
