Horseback Riding in San Lorenzo

At a time that suits you best, transportation will be arranged from your hotel as we embark toward the province of Méndez, situated to the northwest of Tarija.

On our journey, we will pass through the town of San Lorenzo, noted as the capital of the province. This quaint village is historically significant as the birthplace of Don Eustaquio Méndez, a prominent figure in Bolivia's quest for independence, lending his name to the region.

Upon arrival, we will visit a local hacienda renowned for its expertise in horse breeding and care. The staff will warmly welcome us and guide us through a tour of the hacienda, showing us the stables and areas dedicated to equine training.

Following the tour, we will participate in a demonstration showcasing essential techniques for riding horses. Once you are familiar with handling these noble animals, we will begin our ride! Experience the tranquility of their steady yet gentle pace while you immerse yourself in the surrounding landscape.

During our ride, a photographer will capture moments on our behalf, allowing us to fully enjoy the experience without the distraction of taking pictures. You'll receive the images in digital format to take home as a memento.

On our return journey, we will indulge in a tasting of masitas and alojas de cebada, traditional cakes native to this Bolivian area, accompanied by a refreshing fruit beverage. A culinary treat!

Lastly, we will head back to Tarija via bus, arriving approximately 4 to 5 hours after our initial pickup.
