Horseback Riding in San Lorenzo
At the time of your choice, we'll pick you up from your hotel to head towards the province of Méndez, northwest of Tarija. Before reaching our destination, we'll pass through the town of San Lorenzo, the capital of the province and known for being the home of Don Eustaquio Méndez, a leader of Bolivia's independence.
We'll arrive at a local hacienda specializing in horse breeding and care. After a welcome, the workers will guide us on a tour of the hacienda to view the stables and equine training areas.
Next, we will attend a demonstration of basic techniques for riding horses. After learning how to handle and ride, we will begin our ride and enjoy the scenery at a calm pace. A photographer will capture the experience, providing digital photos as souvenirs.
On the way back, we will have a tasting of masitas and alojas de cebada, typical cakes from the area, accompanied by a fruit drink. Finally, we will return to Tarija, arriving 4-5 hours after pickup.
Pickup
The tour includes pickup from hotels in the center of Tarija. If your accommodation is outside this area, you will need to go to the meeting point on Bolivar street.
