Trekking Adventure on the Inca Trail of Tajzara

Your adventure begins at 6 am when we will pick you up from your hotel to traverse the central valley of Tarija, leading us toward the breathtaking Cordillera de Sama Biological Reserve.

During our drive, take in the stunning vistas of the Sama mountain range as well as the captivating Bolivian highlands. The route will take us through charming villages, and you'll have the chance to observe the diverse Andean wildlife along the way!

Upon arrival, we will embark on our trek along the historic Inca Trail, connecting the valley of Tarija with the majestic high plateau of Tajzara, situated at an elevation of 12,139 ft (3,700 meters)!

This trek covers approximately 15.5 miles (25 km), navigating the challenging trails of the Inca Trail of Tajzara. Midway through our journey, we will pause for a well-deserved break, enjoying a picnic lunch consisting of a sandwich, fruit, and water to recharge our energy.

After lunch, we will resume our hike. At the conclusion of our trek, a bus will be ready to transport us back to Tarija, where we expect to return to the pickup location between 2 and 3 pm.

Pickup Information

The tour includes hotel pickup from central Tarija locations. If your accommodation is situated outside this area, you will need to meet at the designated point on Bolivar street.
