Tarija Stargazing Activity

At 7 pm, we will pick you up from your hotel in Tarija and head to the National Astronomical Observatory of Santa Ana.

Here, we will find photographic laboratories, workshops, and telescopes. We will begin with a tour of the observatory to learn about the instruments used for observing planets, satellites, and stars. Staff will use laser pointers to identify planets in the sky.

You will have the opportunity to look through the telescope and attempt to spot prominent stars such as Alpha Centauri, Sirius, and Canopus, along with planets including Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.

After enjoying the celestial sights, we will proceed to the audiovisual room to conclude our experience with a documentary on astronomy.

We will return you to your hotel in Tarija, arriving at 10 pm.
