Description
At the specified time, we'll meet in Plaza de Armas in Tarma to start the tour around the main sights in the Junín province.
We will first travel north to Chacamarca Historic Sanctuary, stopping at the Camino Inca viewpoint to view the fields of flowers. After approximately one hour, we will learn about the Battle of Junín and its significance in Peru's independence.
We will explore the monument dedicated to the heroes fallen in battle and visit the Chacamarca Historic Sanctuary museum.
Next, we will visit the small town of Junín, stopping at their Plaza de Armas, which houses the monument of General Simón Bolívar. Following this, we will proceed to the town of Ondores for a guided tour of its attractions.
The tour's highlight will be Ondores' colonial Church, noted for its altarpieces, stone tower, and bell tower. After exploring Ondores, we will head to San Pedro de Pari, where we’ll visit the colonial Church of Pari for views of the lake.
