What's in store:
Our adventure begins at Tarma's Plaza de Armas at the scheduled time, starting the excursion to Pozuzo, a Peruvian village with distinct German influence. Prepare to explore this German enclave within the Peruvian rainforest.
We will travel comfortably in a minibus through the Yanagacha Chemillen National Park, immersing ourselves in the diverse flora and fauna of the Oxapampa jungle. Along the way, we will see the impressive Rayantambo and Yulitunki waterfalls.
Upon arrival in Pozuzo, a guided tour will reveal its unique character, established in the mid-19th century by German and Austrian settlers. The town features distinctive architecture, colors, and gable roofs reflecting its European heritage.
During the stroll, notice store names reminiscent of Germany or Austria. The tour includes visits to the Settlers' Cemetery, the Schaferer Museum, and a replica of the Norton Ship.
