Join us on this fascinating trip to Pozuzo, a town founded by German and Austrian settlers nestled in the heart of the Peruvian jungle, offering a unique blend of cultures from two continents!

What's in store:

Our adventure begins as we gather at Tarma's Plaza de Armas at the scheduled time, kicking off our excursion to Pozuzo—a Peruvian village with distinct German influence. We will travel comfortably in a minibus through the Yanagacha Chemillen National Park, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the diverse flora and fauna of the Oxapampa jungle. Along the way, we will encounter the impressive Rayantambo and Yulitunki waterfalls.

Upon our arrival in Pozuzo, a guided tour will lead us through the town, showcasing its unique character. Founded in the mid-19th century by German and Austrian settlers, Pozuzo features a distinctive European feel, reflected in its architecture, colors, and iconic gable roofs. During our exploration, we will visit the Settlers' Cemetery, the Schaferer Museum, and a replica of the Norton Ship.

There will be an hour of free time for lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we will reconvene and embark on our return journey to Tarma. Our excursion concludes after approximately 11 hours of adventure.
