Join us on this trip to Pozuzo, a town founded by German and Austrian settlers nestled in the heart of the Peruvian jungle, offering a blend of cultures from two continents.

What's in store:

Our adventure begins at Tarma's Plaza de Armas, launching our excursion to Pozuzo, a Peruvian village with a distinct German influence. We will travel in a minibus through Yanagacha Chemillen National Park, providing opportunities to engage with the diverse flora and fauna of the Oxapampa jungle. Along the way, we will visit the Rayantambo and Yulitunki waterfalls.

Upon arrival in Pozuzo, a guided tour will showcase the town's unique character. Founded in the mid-19th century by German and Austrian settlers on land granted by the Peruvian government, Pozuzo reflects a European aesthetic in its architecture and iconic gable roofs.

Our exploration includes visits to the Settlers' Cemetery, the Schaferer Museum, and a replica of the Norton Ship. You will have one hour of free time to have lunch at a local restaurant before we reconvene for our return journey to Tarma.

The excursion concludes after approximately 11 hours of adventure.
