Join us for a day trip to Villa Rica and the El Oconal Lagoon, the coffee capital of the Pasco region, featuring a boat ride.

What's in store:

The adventure begins at Tarma's Plaza de Armas at the scheduled time, initiating our excursion to Villa Rica and the El Oconal Lagoon.

We will traverse the province of Oxapampa, historically home to three cultures: the Campas, the Amueshas, and the Cashibos. Insights into the heritage of these indigenous communities will be shared along the way.

Our first stop, Villa Rica, is known for being a coffee capital. A guided tour will visit landmarks such as the wooden chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Plaza de Armas.

Before leaving Villa Rica, we will visit a local coffee farm to explore the process of Peru's coffee production, from cultivation to consumption.

Next, we will travel to the El Oconal Lagoon, a wetland area rich in plant and wildlife. The landscapes and biodiversity will provide a perfect setting for photographs. A traditional boat ride will also take place on the tranquil waters of El Oconal.

To conclude our lagoon experience, we will have an ichthyotherapy session. On our return to Tarma, we will encounter the El León waterfall.

After approximately 14 hours, we will conclude our excursion back at the starting point.
