Description

Meet us at the Plaza de Armas in Tarma to begin our day trip to the Huayllay National Sanctuary, located in the Bombon Plateau.

Our journey will pass through the landscapes of the Bombon Plateau, including flower crops, the Pampas of Junin, and the Historical Sanctuary of Chacamarca, which honors those who fought in the Battle of Junin.

We will also visit Chinchaycocha Lake, the second-largest lake in Peru, where we will stop at a viewpoint to take in the views before continuing to the Huayllay National Sanctuary.

The main attraction is the Huayllay Stone Forest, featuring over 480 distinct rock formations. We will explore this area and identify formations resembling animals and human figures.

Our final stop will be at the village of Carhuamayo to see the Maca Monument. We will then return to Tarma, concluding the trip approximately 13 hours after pickup.
