From Tarma, we'll venture into the picturesque Mantaro Valley, exploring charming locales such as Jauja, Concepción, Huancayo, and San Jerónimo de Tunán.

Description

Meet us at Plaza de Armas in Tarma at the scheduled time. From there, we'll kick off our tour of the Mantaro Valley, embarking on our journey to explore Jauja, Concepción, and Huancayo.

Our journey will include a pause at the Carhuacatac viewpoint, located 200 meters (658 feet) above sea level, offering notable views of Tarma. Following this, we'll continue to explore Jauja, a historical capital of Peru.

We'll make a detour to the Paca Lagoon, set in the Eastern Cordillera. In Jauja, we'll visit the Plaza de Armas, the Matriz Church, and the Chapel of Cristo Pobre, inspired by Notre Dame de Paris.

Next, we'll travel to Concepción to explore the Convent of Santa Rosa de Ocopa, founded in 1725, recognized for its cultural significance.

We'll then head to Ingenio, where we will visit a trout farm and enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant.

Moving on to San Jerónimo de Tunán, we'll observe the craftsmanship in gold and silver using the filigree technique.

Our final destination will be Huancayo, where we will explore landmarks such as the Cathedral, the Huanca Identity Park, and the Cerrito de la Libertad. After a full day of touring the Mantaro Valley, we will return to the meeting point approximately 12 hours later.
