On this day trip to Oxapampa, we'll learn about the fusion of Andean and European cultures while visiting the city and traveling to the Chanchamayo Valley.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Plaza de Armas de Tarma and head north to the city of Oxapampa. Along the way, we'll enjoy the landscapes of the Chanchamayo Valley.

We will stop in La Merced, in the province of Chanchamayo, to learn about the lives and history of indigenous peoples in the central Peruvian jungle. The tour continues with a crossing of the Kimiri suspension bridge to the village of San Luis de Shuaro.

After a short break, we will visit several viewpoints for photos before heading to Oxapampa, established by Austrian and German immigrants during the 19th century.

We'll take a guided tour of the town, appreciating the blend of European and Andean cultures. Key stops include the Parish of Santa Rosa and the Miraflores and Llamaquizu neighborhoods, home to typical houses on the Colonist's Walk.

After the guided tour, we’ll visit the Huarapo dairy cooperative to learn about cattle farming. This experience will conclude with a meal at a nearby restaurant.

To wrap up this 8-hour adventure, we'll return to Tarma's Plaza de Armas, leaving you with memorable experiences from your journey.
