On this tour of Perené Valley and Chanchamayo waterfalls, we'll discover the exuberant landscapes of the interior of Peru. Immerse yourself in tradition and nature in one day!

Description

At the indicated time we'll meet at the Plaza de Armas de Tarma and head for the Perené Valley, known as the "City of the Three Plateaus." We will start by visiting the Carpapata viewpoint for views of Chanchamayo's nature. Next, we will visit a coffee processing plant to taste the coffee.

After tasting the coffee, we will walk across the Kimiri suspension bridge, with views of Nativo Dormido, or "Sleeping Native." We will then visit a Ashaninka community to see their dances and handicrafts.

We will continue through the Perené Valley to the Boca del Tigre (mouth of the tiger) Canyon for photos and on to the Bayoz waterfall. Following this, we will visit the Velo de la Novia waterfall, which is 65 metres (213 feet) tall.

For relaxation, guests can swim in the waters while we provide a picnic lunch near the waterfall. Afterwards, we will enjoy a boat ride along the Perené River.

Finally, we will return to the minibus for the trip back to Tarma, completing the 12-hour tour of the Perené Valley and the Chanchamayo waterfalls.
