On this tour of Tarma and Huaricolca, we'll explore archaeological sites and discover the attractions of these two towns in central Peru.

Description

Meet us at the Plaza de Armas at the designated time to commence our tour, exploring the key tourist attractions of Tarma and Huaricolca.

Our first stop is in front of the Cathedral of Tarma to admire its façade. This cathedral is situated in the heart of Plaza de Armas. Following that, we'll go to the Lomo de Elefante viewpoint, which lies midway between Tarma and Huaricolca. Here, we'll enjoy a panorama of the area's natural landscapes.

We'll continue to the Museum of Huaricolca, which delves into the historical legacy of the Junín province. This museum features a collection of archaeological discoveries from the Paleolithic era to the Inca period. Following our museum visit, we'll explore the Mamahuari Cave, known for its legends.

Next, we'll head to the Stone Guardians and the cave paintings of Pintishmachay, among the oldest cave paintings in Peru. Afterward, we'll visit the Chapel of San Juan Pata, explore the Colcas de Huaricolca (storehouses), and conclude our tour with a visit to the Acllana Huarmihuasi.

After 5 hours of exploration, we'll conclude our tour by returning to the starting point.
