We'll explore several destinations during our tour through the Valley of the Flowers, including Chuchopampa, the Bombon Plateau, the Huagapo Cave, and San Pedro de las Cajas.
Description
Meet us at Plaza de Armas in Tarma for our tour through the Valley of Flowers. Our journey will commence with a visit to a natural balcony for observing the flower crops of Chuchopampa. Here, we'll enjoy the scenery adorned with colorful blooms, including wallflowers, pompons, carnations, lilies, and gladiolas.
We will proceed to the Bombón Plateau, significant for observing vicuñas. The tour will include a stop at the pre-Inca salt ponds of Cachipozo.
Next, we will visit San Pedro de las Cajas, known as the birthplace of the region's textile artisans. Here, we can explore the tapestries crafted in this town, a representation of Taramanian culture. Following this, we will head towards the Huagapo Cave, the deepest cave in South America, which features ancient cave paintings.
You will have 1 hour of free time for lunch at a local restaurant. Once refreshed, we will journey through Acobamba before returning to Tarma, concluding our eight-hour excursion.
