We'll explore several destinations during our tour through the Valley of the Flowers, including Chuchopampa, the Bombon Plateau, the Huagapo Cave, and San Pedro de las Cajas. Each location promises a unique experience.
Description
Meet us at Plaza de Armas in Tarma for our tour through the Valley of Flowers. Are you prepared to uncover the beauty of these villages and landscapes?
Our journey will commence with a visit to a natural balcony, providing a panoramic vantage point for observing the flower crops of Chuchopampa, a renowned attraction in the region. Here, we'll enjoy the scenery adorned with colorful blooms, including wallflowers, pompons, carnations, lilies, and gladiolas.
Next, our exploration will lead us to the Bombón Plateau, a location of significant ecological importance and ideal for observing vicuñas. We'll proceed through the high plateau of central Peru, stopping at the pre-Inca salt ponds of Cachipozo.
Then, we'll visit San Pedro de las Cajas, recognized as the birthplace of the region's skilled textile artisans. Here, we can explore the exquisite tapestries crafted in this town, reflecting Taramanian culture. Following this, we'll head to the Huagapo Cave, the deepest cave in South America, which features ancient cave paintings inside.
You'll have 1 hour of free time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After refreshing, we'll journey through Acobamba before returning to Tarma, concluding our eight-hour excursion.
