Modernist Tarragona Guided Tour

At the appointed time, we'll meet at the Balcony of the Mediterranean, in the heart of Tarragona to begin our tour of its most important modernist buildings.

Accompanied by a guide, we'll discover the most emblematic buildings of Modernism, an artistic movement from the late 19th century that transformed Tarragona's center.

The route will include sites like the Metropol Theatre, Casa Ximenis, and the Convent of the Teresian Order. Prominent architect Josep Maria Pujol de Barberà created many modernist works in the city. Key locations along the Rambla Nova include the Rectorate of Rovira i Virgili University and the Ripoll House.

The tour also features the municipal market of Pujol de Barberà. After two hours of walking, it concludes at the Mausoleum of King Jaume I, designed by architect Lluis Domenech i Montaner.
