Modernist Tarragona Guided Tour

We will meet at the Balcony of the Mediterranean to begin our tour of important modernist buildings.

Accompanied by a guide, we will explore the most emblematic buildings of Modernism, an artistic movement from the late 19th century that transformed Tarragona's streets.

The route through modernist Tarragona will include locations such as the Metropol Theatre, Casa Ximenis, and the Convent of the Teresian Order. Notably, Josep Maria Pujol de Barberà designed many modernist works in the city. We will observe his buildings while walking along the Rambla Nova, including the Rectorate of Rovira i Virgili University and the Ripoll House.

Additionally, we will visit the municipal market of Pujol de Barberà, and after two hours of walking, we will conclude the tour with the Mausoleum of King Jaume I, designed by Lluis Domenech i Montaner.
