Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Tashkent and start exploring the capital of Uzbekistan. As we head to our first destination, we will discuss the city's past as a key stop on the Silk Road. You will learn how its name means "city of stone."
Our first visit is at the Khast Imam complex, the emblem of Tashkent. It is the main religious center of the capital, consisting of several mosques, prayer halls, and schools. The Khast Imam library houses the oldest Koran in the world.
Next, we will view the exterior of the mausoleum of Sheikh Zaynudin. After discussing this writer's history, we will visit the Kukeldash Madrasa and the Imam Bukhari Islamic Institute, both significant educational buildings.
Then, we will drive to the Chorsus bazaar, known for its maze of stalls selling fabrics, spices, and traditional products of Uzbekistan.
We will also see Independence Square, Amir Timur Square, the Museum of Applied Art, and the Tashkent Opera House. Finally, we will return you to the hotel about five and a half hours after we began.
