On this private day trip to Samarkand from Tashkent, we will explore the history and monuments of the legendary city of the Thousand and One Nights.

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Tashkent and proceed to the train station, where you will take a train to Samarkand independently.

Upon arrival in Samarkand, you will meet your guide at the station and start an tour of Samarkand. The first stop will be the mausoleum of Gur Emir, where Tamerlane is buried. We will then visit Registan Square, significant during the Timurid dynasty.

At Registan Square, we will see the Sher-Dor Madrasa, a World Heritage Site, alongside the Ulugbek Madrasa and the Tillya Kori Madrasa.

Next, we will go to the Bibi Khanym Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the 15th century, followed by the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, known for its mausoleums from the 14th and 15th centuries.

After the tour, we will have a break for a delicious Uzbek lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we will visit Siyob Bazaar, where you will have about an hour to shop for souvenirs.

Finally, we will take you to Samarkand railway station, where you will take the train back to Tashkent on your own. We will meet you at the Uzbek capital's station and return you to your hotel, arriving 12 to 14 hours after the initial pickup.
