On this private day trip to Samarkand from Tashkent, we will explore the history and monuments of the city of the Thousand and One Nights.
Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Tashkent and transfer to the train station, where you will take a train to Samarkand independently.
Upon arrival, you will meet your guide at the station and begin an extensive tour of Samarkand.
The first stop will be the mausoleum of Gur Emir, where the remains of Tamerlane are located. After its history, we will proceed to Registan Square, a site from the Timurid dynasty.
In this area, we will visit the Sher-Dor Madrasa, the Ulugbek Madrasa, and the Tillya Kori Madrasa.
Next, we will see the Bibi Khanym Mosque, one of the largest mosques from the 15th century, and tour the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, a complex of mausoleums from the 14th and 15th centuries.
After this, enjoy a Uzbek lunch at a local restaurant. Post-lunch, we will visit Siyob Bazaar, where you will have approximately one hour of free time.
Finally, we will take you to Samarkand railway station for your independent return train to Tashkent. Upon arrival, we will escort you back to your hotel, arriving 12 to 14 hours after pickup.
