Do you want a unique experience while visiting Tauranga? Then this Evening Glowworm Kayaking Tour is the perfect option. Discover the beauty of these creatures while you paddle along the tranquil waters of Lake McLaren Falls Park.

Description

On the day of the activity, we'll meet at Taniwha Place in Tauranga at the scheduled time to begin this unforgettable kayaking experience. Ready to go in search of these stunning glowworms? Let's go!

Once we have all the necessary equipment ready, we'll launch the kayaks and start exploring Lake McLaren Falls Park, but not before enjoying some delicious refreshments.

Our experienced guides will then lead us into the tranquil waters of the enchanting Glowworm Canyon, where this magical phenomenon awaits us. As we paddle along enveloped in complete darkness, we'll see the stunning lights of the glowworms light up around us.

Throughout this exciting kayaking experience, our expert guides will provide us with some interesting facts about the life cycle and characteristics of the New Zealand fungus gnat. This fungus causes the glowing effect of the glowworms.

Finally, after 3 hours, we'll bring this kayaking experience around Lake McLaren Falls Park to an end back where we left off.
