Scenic Lake Mclaren Kayak Tour

Enjoy the wonderful calm water of Lake McLaren on this incredible kayaking tour. You'll love this totally peaceful place and you may even spot some birds and other wildlife.

Kayaking Tour

At the time indicated, we'll meet at 36 Taniwha Place and board a vehicle for a 20-minute ride from Tauranga to our kayaking launch point.

We'll first proceed to the starting point where instructors will provide a safety demonstration and tips for enjoying the activity. Then, we will embark on our kayaking adventure.

You will paddle around a lagoon in Northern New Zealand, with views of the Mangapapa Canyon, where native bush creates a cave-like appearance. Bring your camera to capture the landscape.

With a guide, we will paddle toward the mouth of the lake and enter the canyon, experiencing the narrow walls. Along the way, we will learn about the history of the land.

After 3 hours of kayaking, we will return to the starting point in Tauranga and conclude the tour.
