Scenic Lake Mclaren Kayak Tour

Enjoy the wonderful calm water of Lake McLaren on this incredible kayaking tour. You'll love this totally peaceful place and you may even spot some birds and other wildlife.

Kayaking Tour

At the indicated time, we'll meet at 36 Taniwha Place and board a vehicle for a short 20-minute ride from Tauranga to our kayaking launch point.

Upon arrival, instructors will provide a safety demonstration and guidance for the activity. Participants will then get into kayaks and begin paddling.

This tour includes paddling around a lagoon in Northern New Zealand, offering views of the Mangapapa Canyon and its native bush that forms a cave. Participants are encouraged to bring cameras to capture the landscape.

Guided by an instructor, the route will take us to the mouth of the lake and into the canyon, showcasing narrow walls. Participants will also learn about the history of the land during the journey.

After 3 hours of kayaking, we will return to the starting point in Tauranga and conclude the tour.
