Ria Formosa Islands Cruise

When making your reservation, you can choose from three different tour options. All provide an English-speaking guide and have the same starting point: Ria Formosa Avenue in Cabanas de Tavira. The options are as follows:

1-hour tour

Welcome aboard! For one hour, we'll enjoy a cruise around the Ria Formosa, considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Portugal. We'll explore the different canals and make a 15-minute stop on Cabanas Island, allowing time to stroll along its beaches and observe various birds.

2-hour tour

This two-hour tour allows for a longer boat ride. It includes exploring the Ria Formosa Natural Park, with a 30-minute stop in the city of Tavira instead of Cabanas.

4-hour tour

On the four-hour tour around the Ria Formosa islands, you'll cruise Cabanas Island, Tavira Island, and Terra Estreita beach, with a 30-minute stop for swimming. The tour also includes sailing through beds of oysters, clams, and cockles. You'll see the coastal village of Santa Luzia, known as the "capital of octopus," and visit the church of Nossa Senhora do Mar and the 17th-century fort of São João da Barra.
