Tavira Tourist Train

The Tavira tourist train will take you on a 50-minute tour of the most important landmarks and attractions in this city. The tour starts at Rua Jaques Pessoa and proceeds to the fishing port for views of the Algarve coast and a visit to the city's market. The next stop is at the Vila Galé Hotel, followed by a visit to Gilão River, an area suitable for bird watching.

The tour includes a view of the salt pans of Tavira. Subsequently, we will explore the old town and its monuments, including the Islamic Museum, Nossa Senhora da Piedade Chapel, Hermitage of Sao Roque, and the renowned Tavira Castle, a medieval structure with a garden. Other significant spots visited include the Santa Maria do Castelo church, Pousada do Convento da Graça, and Santiago Bridge.
