Taxco Churches Tour

We will meet at the indicated time on Calle Benito Juarez and begin the tour of the main temples of Taxco, entering each one to explore their history and symbolism.

The first stop will be at the Templo de Veracruz, a 19th-century temple built in honor of Santo Cristo de la Veracruz, a revered symbol in Taxco. The image is also known as "El General."

Next, we will visit the Parish Church of San Miguel Arcángel, one of the oldest in the city, dating back to the 16th century, originally dedicated to San Sebastián. We will also stop at the Chapel of San Nicolás, the patron saint of Taxco, known for the tradition of giving out bread rolls on his feast day to commemorate his miracles.

The tour will continue to the Temple of the Holy Trinity and the Temple of Chavarrieta, recognized for its beauty. Lastly, we will visit the former Convent of San Bernardino de Siena, which houses many images of important saints.

To conclude the tour, we will enter the Church of Santa Prisca, a colonial monument symbolic of Taxco. The tour lasts a total of 3 hours and concludes in front of this popular temple.
