Taxco Tour
We'll meet at the indicated time at Benito Juarez street in Taxco to start this guided tour of the historic center. Throughout the tour, we will discover the attractions of this Pueblo Mágico.
Our first stop will be at the ex-convent of San Bernardino de Siena, constructed at the end of the 16th century. After being destroyed by fire, it was renovated in 1804 in the neoclassical style.
Next, we will visit the back of the building to see the statues of penitents, which commemorate Taxco's Holy Week.
Continuing, we will walk to Plaza Borda (also known as Zócalo). It means "place where they play ball." We'll stop at Casa Borda, built in 1759 and currently a cultural center.
We will pass by the exterior of the Casa Humboldt, the Viceroyalty Art Museum, and the Casa Figueroa (or Casa de las Lágrimas).
Before concluding, we'll visit the Church of Santa Prisca and San Sebastian, known as one of the most beautiful baroque churches in Mexico.
Finally, we will conclude our tour 2 hours later in front of the silver tianguis, an open-air market with various silver jewelry.
