Taxco Tour
We'll meet at the indicated time at Benito Juarez street in Taxco to start this guided tour of the historic center. Throughout the tour, we'll discover the attractions of this Pueblo Mágico.
Our first stop will be at the ex-convent of San Bernardino de Siena, built with adobe in the late 16th century and renovated in 1804 following the neoclassical style.
Next, we'll see the statues of penitents commemorating Taxco's Holy Week, portraying different types of penitents.
We'll walk to Plaza Borda, or Zócalo, meaning "place where they play ball", and stop in front of Casa Borda, a building commissioned by José de la Borda in 1759 that serves as a cultural center.
We will also pass by the Casa Humboldt, the Viceroyalty Art Museum, and Casa Figueroa (or Casa de las Lágrimas), known for its tragic story.
Before concluding our tour, we'll visit the Church of Santa Prisca and San Sebastian, noted as one of the most significant baroque churches in Mexico.
Finally, we'll say our goodbyes after 2 hours in front of the silver tianguis, where small shops offer various silver jewelry.
