La Palma Dolphin & Whale Watching on a Glass-Bottom Boat
At the designated time, we'll meet at the port of Tazacorte. Once all are present, we'll board the Fancy II catamaran, equipped with underwater windows for viewing the seabed. We will sail to the northeastern part of Isla Bonita to observe underwater life through the glass floor, including rays, sharks, colorful fish, black corals, and octopi.
We will then navigate the Atlantic in search of dolphins and whales in their natural habitats. If fortunate, we may spot dolphins, encounter a pod of pilot whales, and observe whales expelling air from their blowholes.
Before returning, we will view solidified lava flows from the Cumbre Vieja volcano's last eruption. We will reflect on the 3-month eruption that occurred in 2021 and discuss its impact on the island.
The catamaran trip will conclude after a total of 2.5 hours as we arrive back at the port of Tazacorte.
