La Palma Dolphin & Whale Watching on a Glass-Bottom Boat
At the designated time, we'll meet at the port of Tazacorte. Once all are present, we'll board the Fancy II catamaran, featuring underwater windows to explore the seabed. We will sail to the northeastern part of Isla Bonita and observe its underwater life through the boat's glass floor, including rays, sharks, colorful fish, black corals, and octopi.
Next, we'll navigate the Atlantic to spot dolphins and whales. If conditions are favorable, we may see dolphins, a pod of pilot whales, and possibly observe whales at the surface expelling air from their blowholes.
Before concluding our trip, we'll view solidified lava flows from the Cumbre Vieja volcano's recent eruption, which lasted 3 months in 2021, discussing its impact on the island.
The catamaran trip lasts 2.5 hours, finishing as we arrive back at the port of Tazacorte.
