La Palma Dolphin & Whale Watching on a Glass-Bottom Boat
At the designated time, we'll meet at the port of Tazacorte. Once we've all arrived, we'll board the Fancy II catamaran, featuring underwater windows to explore the seabed. We will sail to the northeastern part of Isla Bonita to observe its underwater life through the glass floor. Expect to see rays, sharks, colorful fish, black corals, and octopi.
Next, we'll navigate the Atlantic Ocean to spot some dolphins and whales in their natural habitats. With some luck, we may see dolphins, a pod of pilot whales, or whales surfacing and expelling air through their blowholes.
Before returning to shore, we'll view solidified lava flows from the Cumbre Vieja volcano's most recent eruption. This eruption lasted 3 months in 2021, and we will discuss its impact on the island.
Our catamaran trip will conclude after a total of 2.5 hours, as we return to the port of Tazacorte.
