Armenia Day Trip

We'll meet at the Avlabari metro station in Tbilisi at 8:30 am. From there we'll head to the border to visit significant sites in Armenia, one of the first Christian civilizations.

First, we will visit Ajtala Monastery, where we will admire its exterior and the 13th-century frescoes, notable examples of Byzantine art. We will also explore the caves and copper foundation factories associated with Ajtala.

The next destination is Haghpat Monastery, a 10th-century architectural masterpiece that has withstood earthquakes and invasions. We will explore its complex, steeped in history.

Around 1:30 pm, we will have lunch at a local family's house to sample traditional cuisine.

At 4 pm, we will visit Sanahin Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with another copper foundation factory reminiscent of the Soviet era. The tour concludes with a visit to the Mikoyan Brothers Museum, which features the original MiG 21 aircraft.

The tour will end in Tbilisi at 7:30 pm.
