Day Trip Details
We'll meet on Kote Abkhazi Street in Tbilisi at the designated time and board the bus to head west to the Vardzia Monastery. The journey will take approximately 3 hours.
Located in the town of Ajaltsije, this site features a mix of cultural elements, including a church, mosque, and synagogue across seven hectares.
After an hour's visit, we'll continue to Vardzia. You'll be captivated by the numerous caves that form this place of worship, which has a strong defensive character due to its proximity to Turkey. We'll tour the complex for an hour and a half, exploring its secrets and admiring the frescoes.
On the way, we'll stop for lunch in a small village.
Then, we'll explore the mountains and green slopes of the Borjomi Nature Reserve. You'll discover the value of its spring waters and will have the opportunity to taste them. We'll also walk through the town and see the Romanovs summer palace.
The tour will conclude at approximately 10 pm upon return to Tbilisi.
