David Gareja Monastery & Rainbow Mountains Tour

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Traveller's Meeting Point in Tbilisi to set off on our tour to David Gareja Monastery and the Rainbow Mountains.

We'll drive through the Gareja valley until we reach the salt lake, an ideal starting point to explore the hidden charms of the Georgian Sahara. Continuing, we will pass through Udabno Village, an intriguing abandoned village in the arid landscape.

We will then have our first glimpse of the Rainbow Mountains. As we approach, we will admire the unique terrain of mineral-rich rocks that create a variety of colors. We will park and explore the area on foot to take pictures.

The next portion of the excursion will focus on the history of this Georgian valley, specifically at the David Gareja Monastery, a mystical site. We will explore the religious complex and view the border between Georgia and Azerbaijan, significant in historical context.

Finally, we will return to Tbilisi, concluding the tour after seven hours of sightseeing.
