At the selected time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Tbilisi and take you through the Caucasian valleys in a jeep. We'll head 100 kilometers (62 miles) southeast of Tbilisi, specifically to the Kakheti region to visit the monastery of David Gareja.

The monastery complex carved into rock was founded by St. David Gareja, one of the 13 Assyrian monks who came to Georgia during the 6th century and established several convents.

The monastery is located next to the Mount Gareja desert, offering a view of the arid landscapes. We'll visit the complex and walk around admiring its defensive walls, towers, and ancient frescoes. During the visit, we'll learn about its history and interesting facts, such as the confinement of Georgian king Demetrius I here after his abdication in 1154.

Afterward, we'll take an 8-kilometer (5 miles) hike through the Rainbow Mountains, where you can enjoy landscapes that seem otherworldly.

On the way back, we'll stop at a traditional village for lunch, where you can sample the famous Georgian mulled wine. After ten hours of sightseeing, we'll return to Tbilisi and drop you off at your hotel.
