Kakheti Guided Tour & Wine Tasting
We will meet in Tbilisi on the morning of the tour and depart for Kakheti, known for its vineyards.
After an hour's drive, our first stop will be a picturesque town for a baking masterclass, where you will learn to make Georgian bread and taste it.
Next, we will visit the Monastery of St Nino at Bodbe, built in the 9th century, an important pilgrimage site housing the tomb of St Nino, known for converting Georgians to Christianity. The monastery offers views over the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains.
We will then proceed to Signagi, located on a hill, giving you free time to explore. You can wander its cobbled streets, enjoy views of the Alazani Valley and Caucasus peaks, or visit the Pirosmanishvili Museum dedicated to artist Nico Pirosmanishvili.
Following Signagi, we will visit a local wine cellar to taste seven different Georgian wines, learn about their production process, and sample chacha, a local vodka. You will have about half an hour for lunch.
We will return to Tbilisi, arriving around 6:30 pm.
