Katskhi & Chiatura Private Tour
At your chosen time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Tbilisi and begin our private tour of the Georgia Caucasus.
Our first stop will be at Katshki Pillar, a 40-metre-tall stone monolith overlooking the Karshuna River Valley. The column features a medieval church built between the 8th and 10th centuries, left unexplored until 1944 due to its challenging location.
The next stop will be Chiatura, a town located among beautiful valleys and gorges. During the USSR era, Chiatura was a significant mining centre for manganese. Today, it retains aspects of its Soviet past, including a 6000-metre-long cable car that we will ride to view Chiatura fully.
After learning about the city’s communist history, we'll return to Tbilisi and drop you off at your hotel after a ten-hour tour.
