Kazbegi & Ananuri Castle Day Trip

This tour will take you along the Georgian Military Road to Ananuri Castle, the Jinvali Water Reservoir and Kazbegi, a village in the Caucasus Mountains.

Kazbegi & Ananuri Castle Day Trip

Participants will meet at the Avlabari metro station at the designated time, then head north along the Georgian Military Road. After approximately an hour and a half drive, the tour will first stop at the Jinvali Water Reservoir followed by the Ananuri Fortress, located on the Aragvi River.

At noon, guests will have free time in Pasanauri for lunch, with a recommendation to try local specialty khinkali.

After the meal, the excursion will continue to the Russia - Georgia Friendship Monument, built to commemorate the bicentennial of the Treaty of Georgievsk in 1983.

The tour will proceed to Kazbegi, where visitors can opt for a 4x4 trip to the Gergeti Trinity Church, overlooking Mount Kazbeg. The final stop will be the Rooms Hotel Kazbegi, offering views of Stepantsminda. The total duration of the tour is approximately 12 hours, concluding back at the meeting point.

Itinerary Changes

From December to March, the visit to the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument will be replaced by the Gudauri ski resort. If winter weather prohibits access to the Gergeti Trinity Church, additional time will be spent at the Gudauri ski resort.
