Kazbegi & Ananuri Castle Day Trip

This tour will take you along the Georgian Military Road to Ananuri Castle, the Jinvali Water Reservoir and Kazbegi, a village in the Caucasus Mountains.

Kazbegi & Ananuri Castle Day Trip

We'll meet at the Avlabari metro station at the designated time and head north along the Georgian Military Road. After approximately one and a half hours of driving, we will arrive at the Jinvali Water Reservoir for a short stop. Next, we will visit the fortress of Ananuri, located on the Aragvi River.

At noon, you will have free time in Pasanauri for lunch to taste local dishes, recommended to try khinkali, typical dumplings of this town.

After lunch, we will visit the Russia - Georgia Friendship Monument, built to celebrate the bicentenary of the Treaty of Georgievsk in 1983, overlooking Devil's Valley. We will then proceed to Kazbegi, where you can opt for a 4x4 trip up to the Gergeti Trinity Church, located on a hill with views of Mount Kazbeg.

The last stop will be the Rooms Hotel Kazbegi, offering views of Stepantsminda. The tour lasts a total of 12 hours, ending back at the initial meeting point.

Itinerary Changes

From December to March, the visit to the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument will be replaced by the Gudauri ski resort. If winter weather prevents access to the Gergeti Trinity Church, more time will be spent at the Gudauri ski resort.
