Mtskheta, Uplistsikhe & Gori Day Trip
Participants will meet at the Avlabari metro station in Tbilisi at the designated time and will depart at 9 am for visits to Uplistsikhe, Gori, and Mtskheta.
The first destination will be Uplistsikhe, known as "the lord's fortress," where guests can explore nearly 500 caves dating from the Iron Age to the late Middle Ages. After the visit, there will be free time for lunch at 1 pm.
In the afternoon, the group will proceed to Gori, recognized as the birth city of Stalin. Visitors will have an opportunity to explore the historic center and can visit either the Gori Fortress or the Stalin Museum. The fortress offers archaeological insights dating back several centuries BC.
The tour will continue to the Jvari Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that provides panoramic views over Mtskheta. Visitors will learn about its history related to the introduction of Christianity in Georgia.
