Fiordland: Helicopter Ride, Hike & Boat Trip

Imagine experiencing Fiordland from the air, land, and water – an adventure that awaits you in the heart of the New Zealand Alps. This unique excursion allows you to fly in a helicopter, hike through Luxmore Hut, and sail across Lake Te Anau.

Description

We'll meet at the helicopter base on Lakefront Drive in Te Anau for our journey through Fiordland National Park using various modes of transport. The adventure begins as we board a helicopter for a 25-minute flight over Lake Te Anau, the Hidden Lakes of New Zealand, and the Kepler Mountains.

Upon landing at Luxmore Hut, you can choose from two hiking routes:

Luxmore Hut Trek (2.5 to 3 hours): This hike includes a descent through a beech forest along a winding trail, ending at Brod Bay on Lake Te Anau.

Luxmore Hut and Luxmore Summit Trek (5 to 6 hours): This extended hike navigates through beech forest to the Luxmore Summit viewpoint, offering views of New Zealand's South Island. The excursion also concludes at Lake Te Anau.

Boat Return: After completing either hiking route, a brief 10-minute boat ride will take us back to our starting point, concluding this remarkable excursion.
