Ventana del Nublo Stargazing Hike

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Bailico recreational area. From this point, located in the heart of Gran Canaria, we'll embark on a short hike to Ventana del Nublo, one of the most iconic postcard images of the island.

We'll walk through the mountains of Gran Canaria at sunset while we review some basic concepts of astronomy, including the relationship between the Indigenous Peoples of the Canary Islands and the night sky.

From Ventana del Nublo, we'll take in a panoramic view of Roque Nublo, one of the symbols of Gran Canaria, particularly stunning at nightfall.

We will use flashlights to continue walking and discover several stargazing points around Ventana del Nublo. While enjoying the sounds of the forest and looking up at the night sky, we'll identify the most famous constellations.

Participants will have a hot drink and a snack during the experience, which lasts approximately three to four hours, concluding with a farewell at the starting point.
