Description

1-Day Trip

At the designated time, you'll board a 50-minute flight from Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport to Ramon International Airport in southern Israel. Upon landing, we'll be waiting to pick you up and drive east to Jordan.

After a scenic two-and-a-half-hour desert drive, we'll reach Petra, the ancient city of the Nabataeans. During our guided tour, we'll uncover the fascinating history of this hidden desert gem, rediscovered by Swiss explorer Jean Louis Burckhardt in the 19th century.

Our exploration of Petra will include the majestic royal tombs and the iconic Treasury, a rock-carved marvel that has captured the imagination of many through films. Can you guess the adventurous explorer who wore a whip and a hat in this famous location?

Following our Petra tour, we'll recharge with a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant, where you'll savor various Arab specialties and experience the local cuisine.

After lunch, we'll return to Ramon Airport in Eilat for your flight back to Ben Gurion Airport. You'll arrive at the Tel Aviv terminal approximately 21 hours after your initial departure.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel in Petra, we'll head back to the archaeological site to explore the remarkable Petra Monastery, a site that will leave you awe-inspired with its rich history. Our journey continues with visits to the Great Temple of Petra and the Qasr Al Bint Temple; the latter is believed to have been built for the daughter of the Biblical Pharaoh.

To conclude our Petra experience, we'll immerse ourselves in the treasures displayed at the Petra Museum. Afterwards, we'll take you to a local restaurant, where you can grab some lunch if you wish.
