Dare to discover the magic, mysteries, and legends of the mythical ancient city of Teotihuacán on this guided tour of the archaeological site with an expert English-speaking guide.
Description
We'll meet at the indicated time at the main entrance of the archaeological site of Teotihuacan, in front of the Citadel. There we'll begin an exciting guided tour of the city of the gods!
The beginnings of this great city are uncertain, but what is clearly known is that it had its heyday during the 3rd and 7th centuries A.D. We'll learn about its particular history while we see its most emblematic monuments, such as the Avenue of the Dead, the Palace of the Jaguars, or the Palace of Quetzalpapalotl. If you'd like, we can climb the Quetzalpapalotl temple to discover all its secrets!
Afterwards, we'll stop in front of the pyramids of the Sun and the Moon to uncover the enigmatic questions that these two structures hold. Did you know that the base of the Pyramid of the Sun is the second-largest pre-Hispanic building in all of Mesoamerica? In addition, we'll learn who was the goddess of agriculture in the early Toltec culture.
Finally, after a 2.5-3 hour tour of the archaeological site, we'll end the activity back at the meeting point.
