On this kayak tour on the Poti River, we will explore the surroundings of Teresina and visit its fossil forest.

Kayaking on the Poti River

At the indicated time, we will meet at Raul Lopes Avenue to start the kayak tour on the Poti River. We will distribute the kayak equipment and provide basic safety instructions. Then, we will paddle along the Poti River, which runs across the Brazilian states of Piauí and Ceará.

During the 2-hour tour, we will make various stops, including one at the fossil forest of Teresina, a paleontological site containing logs from the Permian period, over 270 million years ago. Afterward, we will return to the starting point and conclude the tour.

Minimum Number of Participants

The tour requires a minimum of 4 participants; however, if you take the tour on a Saturday, the activity will proceed even if this minimum number is not reached.
