Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your hotel in Teresina and travel to Pedro II, located in the Serra dos Matões. The minibus journey will take approximately 3 hours.
During the day, we will explore the old town of Pedro II and its natural areas. We will walk through the town center, observing the historic houses, ancient squares, and churches, particularly the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Conceição. Throughout the walk, we will explain the reason behind the city’s name relating to a key figure in Brazilian history.
Next, we will visit the Mirante de São João for photo opportunities of the picturesque mountain landscapes surrounding Pedro II. Following this, we will continue to the Mirante do Gritador, which is 984 feet (300 meters) tall, offering captivating views of the cliff that overlooks the valley.
We will conclude our tour at the archaeological site of Torre II, which features cave paintings representing the oldest history in the region.
Lastly, we will return to our vehicle and head back to the hotels approximately 8 hours after the tour's initial start time.
