Tour Overview
At the agreed time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Teresina and embark on a journey towards the city of Pedro II, nestled in the Serra dos Matões region. This scenic ride by minibus will last approximately three hours.
Throughout the day, we will immerse ourselves in the essence of both the historic town of Pedro II and its natural surroundings. A leisurely walk through the town center will reveal heritage houses, along with age-old squares and churches, including the noteworthy Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Conceição. During our exploration, insights into why this city bears the name of one of Brazil's most significant emperors will be shared.
Our next destination will be the Mirante de São João, a picturesque vantage point perfect for capturing the breathtaking mountain vistas that envelop Pedro II. Following this, we will visit the Mirante do Gritador, towering at 984 feet (300 meters), where the impressive cliff views overlooking the valley will surely captivate you.
To conclude our tour, we will stop at the archaeological site of Torre II, where ancient cave paintings will unveil the region’s earliest history.
After an enriching day, we will board our vehicle and head back to the hotels, concluding our experience approximately eight hours after the tour commenced.
