Tour of Chaves, Boticas, & Montalegre

This northeastern region of Portugal will surprise you from beginning to end. The tour starts in Montalegre, known for its 12th-century castle on a hill. Next, visit the Ecomuseum of Montalegre to learn about the local history and heritage.

Then, we will stop at Boticas, a village with stone houses and a Rural Museum featuring old agricultural tools. You will have an hour of free time for lunch (not included).

The final stop is in Chaves, where we will see its medieval fortress, a National Monument, and also view the Roman bridge of Trajano and the Chaves hot springs before returning to Montalegre.

Tour of Chaves, Valpaços, & Vila Pouca de Aguiar

This option includes a visit to Chaves and allows exploration of other emblematic places in Trás-os-Montes.

Discover highlights of Vila Pouca de Aguiar and visit the Parque de Pedras Salgadas, a wooded area with distinctive stones. The tour also includes Valpaços, home to a Wine Museum where you will learn about the local winemaking tradition. You decide which areas to visit!
